Online Course: SenseMaker® Signification Design
What is SenseMaker® Signification Design
This four-week facilitator guided course to SenseMaker® signification design covers prompting question design, signifier design and considerations for setting up SenseMaker® Collector. Feedback will be given on completed assignments and participants will also learn from and collaborate with other online participants.

At the conclusion of this facilitator guided online class, the participant will:
- Understand how to successfully design the objectives of a narrative capture in the broader context of a SenseMaker® project (and its goals) and the impact this can have on the broader project, irrespective of whether the project is short term or longitudinal
- Based on the broader project objectives, be able to design Story Prompts, Signifiers and associated instruments to gather narrative fragments successfully
- Understand the relationship between signifier design and fragment capture and subsequent analysis (covered in a subsequent online course)

Pre-requisites & Requirements
- Completion of SenseMaker® Workshop (follows Accreditation) or be able to indicate to Cognitive Edge that you have some prior understanding and knowledge of SenseMaker®.
- You should either have a basic understanding of using a personal computer (Mac or PC) or have access to someone who can help. You need to know how to download and upload files to the Internet. You also need a broadband or DSL Internet connection.
- You need one of the following browsers: Internet Explorer 7 or higher, Firefox 3 and higher, Safari 4, or Chrome 12 (video support enabled).
- You need the latest version of Skype for your operating system downloaded and working on your computer for small-group discussion.

Participants will need to set aside approximately 3-5 hrs a week, depending on learning speed, aptitude and prior exposure.
Price
The standard price to attend this course is USD 299. Please note that the maximum number participants is set at 30 to maintain quality of interaction.
